ALDO -also one of our favorite shoe brand here- celebrates 40 years of fashion, innovation and success in the city in which the company was founded in 1972, Montreal. The company hosted a 10-days pop-up exhibit and a series of special events (11-21 October). Sadly, we could only make it to the closing party which was held on St-Catherine's, in their new flagship store (that is going to open real soon), last Saturday night; it was definitely not to be missed.
The event was invitation-only. When we got in, the store was turned into club/lounge, with loud live music and free alcohol. After a few sips of red wine, we met some people who work in Montreal's fashion industry. It was interesting to learn about ALDO through what was exhibited and from the very sweet employees who attended the party too; definitely a night we're going to remember.

What is ALDO Rise? Other than Mr. B's collection for Men, we notice a new line of another genius creation : ALDO Rise collaborates with designers, helps them turn their visions into reality. Under the well-known trademark, RISE gives the designers an opportunity to work with the industry, to learn from the market mentors and to gain ALDO's fans. Lucky and successful footwear designers worked with Aldo: Christian Cota, Cushnie Et Ochs, Faster By Mark Fast & Libertine. For the moment, two designers have it to RISE, Patrik Ervell & Preen.
